Paris Vacay 2020: My 6 Tips To Have Fun Exploring The World On A Tight Budget

Ok I recently went on another surprise trip with my family. What I thought was going to be a mommy and me date turned out to be a week vacation to Paris with my family!
I had so much fun! I want to share it all with you. I thought I might also share some tips with you about travelling to Paris. Here are my top 6 tips.
pack light.
My mom packed my luggage secretly. When I asked her why she only packed my backpack she said "If you pack a heavy bag or a suitcase, you will have to pay more money for it. So in order to save money and travel within our budget we only pack what we really need." Always ask yourself this question while packing "will I need this on my trip?”. My family and I packed our things in carry-on bags so we did not have to pay to check in suitcases. I suggest you also do the same. It also saves us time from waiting in baggage claims to pick up our luggage.
always plan ahead.
I am sure you will be visiting the major attractions in Paris. Before you go to a historical landmark or go out for breakfast or dinner, you should plan ahead. I suggest that you make a schedule. This will save you money and time. In Paris most restaurants are closed between the hours of 12:30 pm and 7:00 pm so you want to plan your meals time accordingly.
Check Reviews.
Though the pictures may look nice, they aren’t always what they seem. The reviews tell you what other people think about that place so that you can make your own judgement. You also want to look at both good and bad reviews. For example, my trip to Paris, France . The place we stayed at had very good reviews but we did not really think it was too good. On the other hand,we went to an Indian restaurant that had good and bad reviews. We went there three nights of our vacation.
Learn some French.
Before you go to Paris, I highly recommend you  learn some French. This is especially important because not too many people there speak English. When I went to Paris, I had just started learning French in school. However, I still did not know a lot in French. I researched some important communication terms such as hello, thank you, please, good bye, etc. I had some background knowledge from world language class at school.
Visit the major attractions.
I suggest going to places like the Eiffel Tower, the palace of Versailles and taking the boat tour on the River Seine. I enjoyed the Eiffel Tower and overlooking Paris from the top of the tower. It was beautiful! I also did a boat tour of Paris on the river Seine where I saw more beautiful scenery of Paris. The most fun experience was walking around Paris with my family and taking the train to different locations. It felt so familiar and It was such an amazing time with my family.  Take the train and get out and walk. It is the best way to experience a new place. When I was in Paris with my family, we took the train to the Palace of Versaille. The train ride was cool. It was my first time on a two tier train. I sat on the upper level of the train which gave me a good view of  the city. We also walked around in the city and did a little bit of souvenir shopping and eating.
Lastly, take lots of pictures.
You want to capture the moment and show your friends and family what a great time you had. My mom loves to take pictures so she did not miss an opportunity to take pictures and videos of every moment. I often times complained that she was being extra with the pictures but when I got back home I had so much to share with the rest of my family and my friends. I was glad she took lots of pictures and videos!
