Space Hour at the Rockville Public Library

Space Hour at the Rockville Public Library

Every summer Imani looks forward to joining in on the local library fun. This summer, not only did she join in, but she was invited as a guest of the reading hour program at the Rockville public library. The Rockville public library hosts a one hour reading and craft program on Wednesday’s for children ages 2 to 4. This program is carefully organized by Mrs. Shalah Z, the Child Librarian at Rockville Public Libray, and Miss Stephanie Grant, Site Specialist- Vernon Family Resource Center.

Wednesday, July 11th, 2018, the reading hour was given the theme Space Hour. The theme was structured around Imani Ariana’s first book, Disco Balls of the Universe. Imani read her book to the children and their families. There were Fun craft and space activities for parents to create with their children and take home as souvenirs. It was a fun hour discovering space. We are very grateful to all the families that attended and supported Imani. We express many thanks to Mrs. Shalah Z, and miss Stephanie Grant for providing the opportunity to be apart of the program. Below are some images captured from the event.
