Celebrating New Birth. Pastor Denise Garwood recognizes young entrepreneurs.

Pastor Denise Garwood, owner of Save the Youth’s Radio show, hosted a fundraiser event on November 3^rd, to raise awareness and recognize young entrepreneurs. I am so grateful to have been one of the youths being recognized.

If you follow my blog, you might remember my first encounter with Pastor Denise Garwood, as a host on her Save the Youths Radio show. That was the beginning of our lifetime relationship. Pastor Denise is like a God sent mother whose purpose is to recognize, embrace and nurture greatness in the lives of the youths around her. I was given the opportunity to share my journey and my book, Disco Balls of the Universe, with the congregation. They were very supportive and offer a lot of encouraging words. I am so honored be an inspiration to other youths.

I also met some amazing people. One of which is Denar Ralph. Denar is a 14-years-old author and motivational speaker. His book, titled Climbing the Ladder to Success, which speaks about his journey to success and encourage everyone that they are never too young or too old to achieve their goals. Denar also hosts a radio show called Youth Hour of Prayer, along with Alex Bigelow, Lexus Bigelow and Kyann Ralph.  The radio show is a youth support ministry which provides intercessory prayer for the youths and hosts panel discussions. I am very excited to have been invited to be a host on the radio show. Stay tune for more details.

Another highlight of the evening was the encouraging message delivered by Hayley McKenzie, entrepreneur and motivational speaker. Hayley J. McKenzie spoke passionately on the topic of using your god given gifts as god intended. She cited scriptures from the bible as it relates to God intention for us to become rich, not by being slaves to a job but by using our talents that he blessed us with. Her amazing speech assured me that I was moving in the right direction.

I am looking forward to having many more opportunities to work with Minister Denise Garwood to share my story and encourage more youths to reach for the stars.
